SpeedTest.net app is a huge help in assessing the wifi environment, so you know what you can realistically download.
ie. Don’t attempt to download a 550 Meg TV show or iTunesU University lecture…unless you have hours on your hands.
With wifi like you saw above you could download a small free app or do email, web surf or Twitter.

Here is the best I’ve gotten so far and the upload was still terrible (think NO Skype here)

But with the faster download bandwidth, you could get the TV show or university lecture in a reasonable amount of time (think 5 or 10 minutes)

Yo AT&T…Quit having your Indian out sourced labor call me every single day about the combo package that includes internet.

First, you are supposedly an “American” company.  Unless you want to relocate your CEO, upper management and Board of Directors to go live in Mumbai or Delhi or wherever…hire real Americans ( and not Z visas either)

Quit outsourcing our US jobs and then have the nerve to have them call us in that horrible accent to ask for the 800th time (during my lunch/dinner) if I want the package deal with internet.

No,,,,what I want is our jobs back!

Yeah…I’m pissed about newly converted Liberal Democrat Bush and his amnesty BS too.

Nothing against the people of India or Mexico by the way.  They are simply getting caught in the abuse of not paying a world-wide decent wage and benfit package.  Perhaps the opportunity to arbitrage and abuse people will lessen as time goes on…One can only hope.
