A Few Words in Honor of Isaac Hayes…

Man o man, what a few weeks of losses in the entertainment field.   Just following the loss of legendary comedian and actor, Bernie Mac….  comes news of the passing of music artist and actor, Isaac Hayes.

My first exposure to his work, was hearing the theme to the private detective show Shaft.

Isaac’s music for that was truly iconic, even til this day.

Prayers go out to his family and friends.

Such a sad string of losses: Tim Russert, George Carlin, Bernie Mac and now Isaac Hayes.  What a couple of months.  Eeek

Keenan Ivory Wayans…In Living Color…

Just a few words to pay tribs to a comedy show that I miss…a lot!! My first exposure to Keenan and Damon’s comedy came with the movie “I’m Gonna Get You Sucka”

This show was a LOT edgier and in your face with their satire in almost every sketch.

The show deteriorated and eventually was cancelled.

This all happened before the OJ trials… That would have been hysterical to have them lampoon the OJ trial.
