Talkshow with Spike Feresten – No Fourth Season

Don’t know about you all… but I’ve had all the hope and change I need…

Did BO buy FOX now?

All humor aside… I sadly note that Talkshow with Spike Feresten will not be renewed for a fourth season.

The recent bonehead FOX suit decisions started with dumping MadTV.

And the most recent includes dumping Spike’s show.

Spike has truly cut a lot of new ground and the suits want the daily mush with no edge.

Let’s see… Wasn’t “In Living Color” on FOX ?  It rocked til the suits took control and poof.. gone.

Per Wikipedia  “Keenen Ivory Wayans left the show in 1992 after the end of the third season, over disputes with Fox about the network censoring the show’s content and rerunning early episodes without his consultation.”

More on this after I get over the shock of one of my fav programs going away.

The Stink in Farts Controls Bloodpressure…

Hydrogen Sulfide…  I always thought I gave off methane… haha.   This evidently is given off by cells in your blood vessels… which helps relax them and lowers blood pressure…  interesting…to see where this leads…

Could McCain shoot himself in the foot any better?  He has complimented “his opponent” like at least 5 times now.  Savage said a few days back that he had shot off all his toes and was standing on one hand now.

He won’t even try to deal with the 20 million invaders to the US.

He also voted (just like “his opponent”) to bail out the poor investments of others.. at tax payer expense.

He has Carly Fiorina on board… failed CEO..Buehler? anyone?

Savage thinks the averageness of Sarah Palin may save the ticket.

McCain Picks Palin as Running Mate

Not Michael Palin from Monty Python…  Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.

Savage was convinced on Friday that McCain and/or his handlers were trying to throw the election.   One bad move after another.  Her lack of experience was cited as making the “electablity” of this ticket weak.

Others have cited her stands on other issues as a plus.   We will see…

More to come as this unfolds.

***  Now the 17 year old daughter is unmarried and 5 months pregnant, but is gonna marry the boy.  Drama?

You just know she is gonna be on The View at some point.  The word “vetting” keeps coming up and with any more “unknown” information or oops…  Then we are back to McCain’s judgement.

But, please…that was lost when he wouldn’t make a commitment to even try to return the invaders… even the incarcerated ones…

So, this will end up as some “who is least liberal?” race.

And NONE of the media… (Not even Savage) is giving Nader a fair shake.   Please, this is a race FULL of novices now.

It felt kinda like watching how gracefully the Chinese executed the Olympics.   The pageantry was superb.   Unfortunately, you have to look no further than Nancy Pelosi’s “Fairness Act”, the “marriages” in San Fran, the 20 plus million invaders to the country that will still be here after the speech… prolly with better health care than me… what?

And still wondering where Jesse Jackson and Sharpton are… and when newly reprogrammed mommy will emerge.

Where did they do with Al Gore? haha   O yeah…  And then there’s Jimmy Carter that referred to Obama as… that boy?  What?

Still don’t wanna live in China or in that America… and hopefully straight Mex McCain will dump Carly Fiorina and grow some conservative values… yeah right.

A Few Words in Honor of Isaac Hayes…

Man o man, what a few weeks of losses in the entertainment field.   Just following the loss of legendary comedian and actor, Bernie Mac….  comes news of the passing of music artist and actor, Isaac Hayes.

My first exposure to his work, was hearing the theme to the private detective show Shaft.

A very surreal interview where Terry Moran checks in with Heidi Fleiss to better understand the recent alegations and public acknowledgements of the Democratic governor from New York.  What drives a man to do this?

What I learned was…

- It’s been going on since Adam and Eve (Eve was a hoe? wow…)

- Men just wanna get laid (check)

- She wants a governor that gets laid (me too)

-  It’s every man, men think about sex 99% of the time (I barely have time to eat…)

- Her issue with what happened was that he was a zealot and then involved in it (fair enough)

Tom Green on Jimmy Kimmel Live…

Tom and Jimmy reviewed how it is to have a TV show….in your living room.

Jimmy quipped that Tom… is actually on house arrest with an ankle bracelet.

Tom related some stories from back in the day when his parents car was decorated and how the new technology on cam corders helped document things.

and another story from back in the Bill C administration where they had Monica Lewinsky up to Ottawa and his dad met Monica to shake hands in the middle of the night…..and dad (used to Tom’s antics) just took it all in stride.

The State of the Union…

The Democrats did a lot of up and down, standing and clapping for Bush,,, that seemed odd…

Then…. there was Darth and Nancy… Nancy Pelosi had her head down quite a lot… reading the commencement flier?…looking like a whipped pup. She stood and clapped right along with the other Dems…

although…her timing to get up and down always had an annoying delay like the “Applause” sign for the audience was broken.

… then there was President Bush. He kept smirking and seemed just way too giddy.

… In recent speeches, especially the angry Bush ones from the Rose Garden, I keep thinking Bush is gonna bust out,,,

One dude in the audience… was Mr. Jowls.

I don’t recall any boos this time. Matter of fact I kept hearing what sounded like drunken frat boys going ….”Hey!!!!!……Ho…

… and then as Bush left, he signed like every person theres lil commencement flier…. He gave out more autographs than LaBron James…. and to mostly Democrats… so these are going on Ebay?

No Stimulus for You!… and others wait til May

Sadly, if you made less than $3000 in 2007, you will NOT get a dime under the current Stimulus package. These people are too poor to spend this on necessities?

Unemployment benefits that ran out…will stay run out.

Looks like the current version will give a tax Rebate of taxes paid up to $600 for singles now…..but you wont even get stimulated til May or June.

$50 billion in incentives for businesses to buy new equipment… (No, …..you have to put the equipment in a business still located in the US…yeah)

I keep hoping that I misread something on this….
Now it has to go through the House and Senate… Perhaps, some help for those making less than $3000 or with their unemployment depleted…

According to Theory…Spike Will Be Back Jan 12

Per the Myspace for the show, TalkShow with Spike Feresten will be back January 12, 2008 just as other Late night talk shows have done.

Im noting that this was from a corporate dude, just like the announcement about Spike on the New Years gig…. and NOT from Spike.

Im sure the politics and stress of the business side of the entertainment business and coming back without writers is not fun. Should be interesting…

Show was man on the street stuff with Spike and promoting two FOX shows coming soon. (Game show..Moment of Truth which they demoed with a member of the audience. That was probably the funniest part of the show. The other was a new Terminator follow-up) Spike made the comment that they were reluctantly returning…and the announcement on the Myspace was from a corporate dude and not Spike. Im sure this whole thing is just awkward and ugly and opposite of the creative and fun that Spike would rather focus on. Uggh
